1. Healthy Vegan Ketchup

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or date syrup
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Pinch of allspice (optional)

Instructions: Whisk everything in a bowl until smooth. Taste and adjust the sweetness or tang to your liking. Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

2. Vegan Mayo (Aquafaba Style)

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup aquafaba (liquid from canned chickpeas)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp mustard (Dijon or yellow)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup neutral oil (avocado or light olive)

Instructions: In a blender or with an immersion blender, combine aquafaba, vinegar, mustard, and salt. Slowly drizzle in oil while blending until thick and emulsified. Chill before using. Great on wraps, bowls, and sandwiches.

3. Healthy Vegan BBQ Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup tomato sauce (or passata)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or date syrup
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions: Simmer all ingredients in a saucepan over low heat for 10–15 minutes, stirring frequently. Cool and store in a sealed jar for up to 2 weeks. Perfect on grilled veggies or protein.

4. Classic Vegan Mustard

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard seeds
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions: Soak mustard seeds in vinegar and water overnight. Blend with maple syrup and salt until desired texture is reached—grainy or smooth. Let mellow in the fridge for a few days before using.
