Balsamic Roasted Tomato Skewers (Simple, Dairy-Free, Gut-Friendly Appetizer)
If you need a quick appetizer that looks fancy but takes almost zero effort, these Balsamic Roasted Tomato Skewers are it.
They’re juicy, caramelized, and full of rich flavor... the kind that tastes like you spent hours making them when really it’s just a handful of ingredients and a hot oven.
Even better? They’re naturally gluten-free, dairy-free, anti-inflammatory, and packed with nutrients that support hormone balance and gut health. Serve them at Friendsgiving, a holiday party, or alongside a charcuterie board. They disappear fast, trust me.

Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
-
1 pint cherry tomatoes
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
-
1 tsp dried basil
-
Sea salt and black pepper
-
Fresh basil leaves (optional, for serving)

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. -
Season the tomatoes.

Roast.
Spread tomatoes on the baking sheet and roast 15–20 minutes, until blistered and lightly caramelized. -
Cool slightly.
Allow tomatoes to cool enough to handle without bursting. -
Assemble skewers.
Thread roasted tomatoes onto small wooden skewers with fresh basil leaves between each tomato (optional, but beautiful).
Serve warm or at room temperature.

Health Benefits
These skewers may be simple, but every ingredient supports your hormones and gut:
- Cherry tomatoes: Packed with lycopene, an antioxidant that reduces inflammation and supports hormone and cardiovascular health.
- Olive oil: Rich in monounsaturated fats that stabilize blood sugar and support healthy hormone production.
- Basil: Contains anti-inflammatory oils that soothe digestion and support liver detox pathways.
- Balsamic vinegar: Helps digestion, enhances nutrient absorption, and adds depth of flavor without added sugar.
This is the kind of appetizer that keeps you feeling light, energized, and satisfied... not sluggish and bloated. It's a powerhouse combo of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory fats, and plant compounds that make this recipe perfect for hormone balance, gut health, and blood-sugar stability.
It’s proof that simple food can be deeply nourishing and incredibly delicious.
